Andy Norris - Medical Director
After graduating from Sheffield University Medical School in 1986, Andrew specialised in anaesthesia, building a career across clinical practice, postgraduate education, clinical research, and MedTech innovation in the UK, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. He has been instrumental in advancing knowledge and improving understanding of airway management in vulnerable patients throughout his career.
Sergiy Korposh - Director
Professor of Photonics Instrumentation at the University of Nottingham, with more than 20 years of experience in the fabrication of chemical sensors. His multidisciplinary research focuses on the development of optical fibre sensing platforms that can be modified with advanced functional nano-materials for applications in healthcare.
Ricardo Correia - Director
Assistant Professor in Fibre Optic Sensing at the University of Nottingham. Ricardo has been developing fibre optic sensors for measuring physical parameters for over 20 years. He has worked on sensor development for aerospace and civil engineering applications. Over the past decade, his research has focused on tackling healthcare challenges, aiming to improve people's lives.
Prof. Barrie Hayes-Gill - Vice-Chairman
A renowned academic, researcher, and entrepreneur, he has translated ground-breaking medical devices from lab to market. His pioneering non-invasive fetal and newborn heart monitoring systems have significantly advanced obstetric care. A specialist in electronic medical instrumentation, he holds 25 patent families, has supervised over 60 PhDs, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2021.
